As opposed to the Beetle of past times, the New Beetle features a 2.5L five-cylinder engine located at the front of the vehicle, along with other performance features like a five-speed manual transmission with a hydraulic clutch, and power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering. Additional features contribute to the excellent handling of this vehicle, such as Electronic Differential Lock, Engine Braking Assist (prevents compression-induced skidding in slippery conditions), and the Anti-lock Braking System.
You will not have any trouble spotting a Beetle on the streets because of its unique style, but the exterior also features metallic paint, heatable power mirrors, daytime running lights, tinted glass (green), a mid-mounted 3rd stop lamp, and all season tires.
