Drive the NEW Porsches with Professional Instructors

All POC members are invited to join us for the PCNA Autocross, sponsored by Porsche Cars North America and Pacific Porsche, Torrance, CA. on the infield parking lot. This is your opportunity to see and drive the entire line of NEW Porsche cars with professional driving instruction from Porsche Sport Driving School instructors on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Don’t miss out on this special opportunity to drive on a professionally designed Autocross course and please come early as space is limited to first come, first serve.

The Porsche Cars North America sponsored AUTOCROSS on Sunday will be open to all POC registered participants for timed runs, bragging rights and awards, driving your own street or race Porsche. Come join the fun at the Autocross. Be at the Drivers Meeting on Sunday morning in the Driver’s Meeting Room for info.

Event: This will be a POC Championship Points Event for Time Trials and Cup Races on Sunday. Entry for all cars, into the JE Pistons Sponsored, “Tribute to Le Mans” 4-hour Enduro, may enter as;
1) a single “unlimited” race car, with pit stops, driver changes, refueling, tire changes, etc., or,
2) as a multi 2, 3 or 4 car/driver race team, with mandatory pit stops, ‘time handicaps’ and no fueling. Trophies & Prizes will be presented to the winners in both the “Unlimited” and “Handicapped” race groups. “The 19th Annual Tribute to Le Mans Race” will run from 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm, so you will NOT need lights! The complete rule packet for the “Tribute to Le Mans Race” will be posted at: www.porscheownersclub.org. Please read and be familiar with the rules.

“Tribute to Le Mans Procedures”: There will be a mandatory Enduro Drivers’ Meeting promptly at 5:00 pm Friday, June 3rd. The Enduro Race Qualifying will be held Saturday morning. There will be a second mandatory Enduro Driver’s Meeting on Saturday, June 4th at 12:15 pm.

Race Qualifications: Current POC membership and 2011 POC Race License is required for all Drivers. If you are a race licensed driver with another Club (PCA, PRC, NASA, SCCA), you may be eligible to enter the POC Time Trials and/or the Cup Races, including the Enduro. You will be asked to submit your driving resume, race license(s) from recognized sanctioning bodies, or any other appropriate credentials for consideration. If you meet all necessary requirements, you may then be issued a Provisional Race Permit for all POC Competition Events.

PDS Participants: PDS participants are invited to join the Cup Racers and Time Trialers on the full track at Auto Club Speedway, Sunday June 5th. Instructors will be required and this offer will sell out, so register early. Autocross participants should register early and plan to be at the PDS & Autocross Driver’s Meeting in the Drivers Meeting Room in Garage #2 at 8:00 AM, Sunday morning for program instructions and Instructor assignments. PDS safety requirements will be in effect and please have your car inspected at one of the POC Tech Stations prior to the event. Time Trial Students: All Time Trial Students are welcome and must contact Marty Mehterian, Chief Driving Instructor, no later than May 25th., 2011 to confirm your Driving Instructor. Marty can be reached at: (818) 203-9699, Mon-Fri.

Tribute T-Shirts: A “Tribute to Le Mans” event T-shirt is FREE with the Base entry fee. This also includes the paid PDS participants on Sunday. Extra event T-shirts are available for purchase.

Location & Directions: Auto Club Speedway, 9300 Cherry Ave. Fontana, CA 92335 From Interstate 10, exit Cherry Ave., and go north approximately 1 mile to Gate #1 and turn left to enter. From Interstate 15, exit 4th Street, go east to Cherry Ave., go north (left) to Gate #1 and turn left to enter.

Safety Equipment: The POC General Competition Rules (2011 GCR’s) will be strictly enforced.

Hotel Information: The POC Host Hotels are: Marriott Residence Inn, 2025 Convention Center Way, Ontario, CA. (909) 937-6788. Holiday Inn, 2155 Convention Center Way, Ontario, CA (909) 212-2000, La Quinta Inn, 3555 Inland Empire Blvd. Ontario, CA (909) 476-1112. Cut off date for Hotels is May 12. Please support the Club and reserve your room as soon as possible and ask for the POC room rate.

Garages & Parking: All garage parking will be pre-assigned. Garage space is a bargain at only $150 for all three days. The parking space in the paddock area, directly opposite your assigned garage, is also included with the garage rental. Do not park in this area if you do not reserve a garage.

Check-In/Registration: Pre-Registration will be available at the in-field Sanction Office from 6:00 pm–8:00 pm Thursday night. Registration will also be open Friday, Saturday & Sunday morning at 6:30 am in the in-field Sanction office.

Camping: Motorhome camping is allowed in the paddock infield on Thursday, Friday, & Saturday nights. Be prepared to dry camp. Electrical hookups are available between the garages. The Speedway does not allow pets, open fires or pit fires. Charcoal fires must be contained and 10 feet away from any vehicle or structure. Quiet time will be enforced from midnight to 6:00 am.

Thursday: June 2nd: Gate opens @ 4:00 pm, Paddock setup 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm. Pre registration at the in-field Sanction office from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Friday: June 3rd: Gate opens @ 6:00 am, Driver’s Meeting @ 8:00 am, Track hot @ 9:00 am. Enduro Drivers Meeting at 5:00 pm.
Saturday: June 4th: Gate opens @ 6:00 am, Driver’s Meeting @ 8:00 am, Track hot @ 9:00 am. Enduro Drivers Meeting at 12:15 pm
Sunday: June 5th: Gate opens @ 6:30 am, Track hot @ 9:00 am. PDS Drivers meeting 8:00 am in the Drivers meeting room, garage #2. Time Trial Meeting at 12:00 pm, Raceway facility closes 6:00 pm.

Vehicle Tech Inspection: See the listing of Official POC Tech Stations. Please pre-tech to avoid registration delays. Tech inspection at the track will be available from John Gordon on Friday & Saturday mornings beginning at 7am for $20.00. Thank you John!

Topless will once again be providing mounting and balancing services at the track. Order now to be sure your tires are available and will arrive on time.
