Grades of Green
LAcarGUY and Subaru Pacific have been supporters of Grades of Green since 2014 sponsoring programs like Trash Free Lunch Challenge, No Idle Zone along with Subaru Share The Love contributions. The annual Verte gala honored Mike Sullivan in 2016 for environmental stewardship. Subaru Pacific has continued to partner with Grades of Green through the Share the Love program and hosts the annual “Impact-A-Thon” at the dealership. This event is all about sustainability solutions like how to eliminate single-use plastics, turning trash into school art, composting and reducing food waste, and much more. Grades of Green has inspired each of the LAcarGUY dealerships to implement specific recycling and composting bins at each break room and holds monthly “lunch and learns” from Grades of Green staff with the latest eco-sustainable tip of the month.
GRADES OF GREEN is changing the course of the future by instilling environmental values in students today. Grades of Green began in 2008 at Grand View Elementary in California by four moms wanting a better world for their children. After receiving an award from the EPA, the founders created a non-profit so that other schools would have free and easy access to the tools and information needed to empower and inspire students to care for the environment.
Grades of Green offers 40+ programs aimed to instill environmental values in students. Whether you want to concentrate on conserving air, energy, waste, water, or toxins, Grades of Green has an array of activities that will help protect the environment today while instilling environmental values in students for years to come.
