Honda Clarity
Honda was one of the earliest pioneers in the EV world, releasing
the first ever hybrid vehicle for sale in north America with the Insight in
1999. Honda continued to pioneer in the
EV space with the release of the first Fuel Cell vehicle, the Clarity in 2015.
With an estimated combined range of 360 miles, the Clarity can take you further
than almost any other EV on the market.
Also, the refueling the Clarity takes just 5 minutes, which is orders of
magnitude faster than even the fastest electrical battery charging available to
consumers.
The fuel cell power plant produces 174HP with tons of torque courtesy of the electric motor so the Clarity is zippy and loads of fun to drive. The interior surfaces are created with 80% recycled and sustainably sourced materials. With room for 5 adults, the Clarity offers all the function of a standard sedan with the only byproduct created being harmless water vapor.

Porsche Taycan
The Taycan is Porsche's first all electric vehicle. With the stance of a super car and the performance to match, the Taycan points the way for the Porsche vehicles of the future. The Taycan comes in two body styles, a sedan and a wagon variant called the Cross Turismo. Each style has 4 trim levels that take the Taycan's performance from sublime to ridiculous, with the range topping Taycan Turbo S and Turbo S Cross Turismo sporting a jaw dropping 670 HP and 0-60 times well under 3 seconds. Range on the Taycan models is around 200 miles depending on driving conditions, but with Porsche's recuperative braking system, city driving actually recaptures about 30% of your expended energy through braking. Porsche's onboard Charging Planner helps you manage your route for maximum efficiency, plotting out stops to charge if needed and suggesting routes that optimize your travel time.
Toyota Mirai
The Mirai from Toyota represents the bleeding edge of alternative
fuel technology for the revered Japanese brand. The second iteration of the Mirai, first
debuted in 2015, is longer, wider and more luxurious than it's predecessor. Th
Mirai's fuel cell stack mixes air entering through the front grille with
hydrogen from the fuel cell's tank to create electrical energy to drive it's
rear wheel mounted motor. Range for the Mirai is near 400 miles per fill up,
giving it range much like gas powered cars.
Inside, the Mirai has the understated, functional cabin that Toyota is known for. The Mirai comes in two trim levels, the XLE and the Limited. The major differences being the amount of comfort and amenities you'd want. All of the running gear and safety features are identical. The Mirai comes with two years of no cost maintenance and roadside assistance. Toyota is also offering 3 years or $15,000 worth of free fuel with the Mirai for those who lease or buy soon.

Volkswagen ID.4
VW's. ID4 is the brand's first all electric SUV. A vanguard of VW electrical vehicle program, the ID4's
elegant styling and thrilling road manners have garnered plenty of attention
since its launch in January 2021. With a
range north of 200 miles and the ability to quickly charge up to 60 miles of
range in just 10 minutes at DC fast charging stations, the ID4 is easy to keep
topped off. Current iterations of the
ID4 are offered with rear-wheel drive but starting in the fall of 2021, AWD
is available on all trim levels.
Like many EV models currently for sale, VW is offering free fast charging through the Electrify American charging network. As befits a car with the latest technology the ID4's interior feels futuristic. When the key fob in pocket, the ID4 senses the driver's presence and wakes itself up and is ready to drive. Once inside, the ID Light system communicates with the driver through an intuitive light bar embedded in the dash that glows and gives visual and acoustic cues to indicate incoming calls, brake warnings, charging status and more.
