Mike and LAcarGUY have been longtime supporters and a sponsor of the Manhattan Beach Pumpkin Races with Mike serving as "MC" for the past several years.  The event started in the Tree Section on Halloween Eve in 1990 and has become a huge global success, recently featured on the Travel Channel as one of the top 5 Halloween traditions in America. 

Each of the LAcarGUY dealerships builds their own unique racing pumpkin and races them in the "LAcarGUY Heat" on the day of the race.  LAcarGUY also sponsors the Pumpkin Parking area each year and Subaru Pacific has had several car displays at the Manhattan Beach Pier. This family fun-filled holiday event is not to be missed!

About The Pumpkin Race Foundation

The Pumpkin Race Foundation Inc. is a California non-profit Public Benefit Corporation formed in June 2018.  Our mission is to use the universal attraction of the national award-winning world famous pumpkin race to create more job training and paying jobs for young adults with special needs by bonding families, friends and communities in a tradition that celebrates and inspires creativity, ingenuity, diversity and fair play.  We have not yet received our IRS determination letter for our 501(C)(3) tax exempt status. 

We provide a mix of fun, weird and wonderful products that empower individuals and organizations to bring communities together for a day of pure world-famous pumpkin race fun and fundraising for a variety of charitable organizations.  One of the great organizations is the MBUSD Choice Booster Club that was established in 2015 by parent volunteers to enhance vocational training and work experiences for young adults with ADD, ADHD, Autism, and other disorders.
