LAcarGUY has been involved with Sustainable Works for 15+ years primarily at each of our zero-waste holiday BBQ's each December. The Sustainable Works team teaches the employees in attendance how to properly recycle their waste and even compost the food at the bbq's which ultimately cuts down on trash for the dealership and diverting waste from the landfill. Employees are then encouraged to recycle and compost at each of our dealerships with clearly labeled recycling, trash and compost bins at each location.

About Sustainable Works
Sustainable Works is an environmental education organization and is currently a project of Community Partners. Our work is made possible by the City of Santa Monica's Sustainable City Plan, our program participants, grants, individual donors, and in-kind service donations from Santa Monica College. Although our programs are designed for Santa Monica residents and businesses, our participants come from all across the greater Los Angeles Area. Sustainable Works is interested in expanding its programs into other cities with a focus on sustainability, resource efficiency or community development.
